Indian captain Virat Kohli is the most followed cricketers in the world on social media. He recently was named as the first cricketer to reach the count of 100 million followers in May this year and is already ahead of the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, and Rohit Sharma, when it comes to fandom on digital space. At that time, Kohli had 29.4 million followers on Twitter, 37.1 million on Facebook and 33.6 million on Instagram, making him India’s most followed sportsperson on social media. Portugal footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is the most followed sportsperson on social media with around 366 million followers with 122 million on Facebook, 77.8 million on Twitter and 166 million on Instagram.
