Insane Police response in Alwar: Allegedly asked a gang raped woman to wait until after polling

This is a coverage of woman, a victim of gang rape in Alwar, allegations by her family, for the woman was intentionally kept waiting until after the polls. This kind of shameful act was never expected out of the guardians and protectors of our society. On this account, the Superintendent of Police has been removed and the SHO has been suspended.
An 18-year-old Dalit woman, a week ago was gang raped. This heinous activity remained aloof, due to the workload the policemen had during elections and also the influence of Congress to save their Gujjar votes. The incident which took place on April 26, happened three days prior to the first phase of polling in Rajasthan. The woman was travelling with her husband on a bike when the rapists blocked their way, on Thanagazi-Alwar bypass, dragged them to an unknown and isolated area and raped the woman in front of her husband.
When asked about the case the husband said, “Five men stopped us on the bypass that day. They hit us and raped my wife, one by one, as the remaining four held me”. The astonishing fact is that the rapists have also recorded it, and before uploading the same, tried to blackmail the woman and demand 10000 rupees, to abstain them from posting the video. The shameless and inhuman people used to regularly call the victim’s husband and ask them to pay the amount.
Despite every such cruel, retarded activity, the SHO paid no attention to their plea. The victim was definitely taken aback of the fact how can someone take such a matter so much casually. For the police officers there, their election duty and loyalty towards the politicians mattered more than the raped woman. In this situation, when the couple requested the SSHO to intervene he could only say, “When we complained the police about the video, the SHO said if they will upload the video on social media, we’ll add another section to the FIR”.
An FIR was lodged against 5 people namely, Chotelal alias Sachin, Jeetu, Ashok and two others – under Sections 376-D (Gang rape), 354-B (criminal force to woman with intent to disrobe), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation), 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint), 147 (rioting), 149 (unlawful assembly) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3(2)(v) of the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
In the recorded video, the accused were seen laughing and feeling the utmost pleasure of their acts. The poor husband’s statement said, “We are still in a state of trauma. Their smiling faces while torturing us haunt us as we close our eyes”. The lead names of the heinous act were allegedly said to be of the Gujjar community for which this whole matter was suppressed. Because the Gujjar community are the ones, due to the help of which, the Congress party managed to gain maximum support to win the seat of Ramgarh.
On asking when the investigation was started, the husband stated, “After more than a week, the police finally reached out to us. Initially, they always said they are occupied with the elections”. Evidently looking at the scenario, it was the case which was suppressed due to elections. Hence basing upon this act, The BJP leader, Madan Lal Saini has demanded the resignation of the Honourable Chief Minister, Mr Ashok Gehlot.
Also, the former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje tweeted:
“The increase in heinous crimes that put humanity to shame exposes Congress’s claims about providing a safe environment to women in the state”.
The State Government on Tuesday has immediately removed the S.P. of Alwar, Rajeev Pachar, and has suspended the SHO Sardar Singh under immediate effect. Along with them, one assistant sub-inspector and three constables have been line attached. At a press conference, Director General of Police, Kapil Garg have ensured that one of the rapist has been arrested and there are 14 working teams scattered in order to search and arrest the rest.
Amongst all this, another rape of a 20-year-old woman by three people was filed in Thanagazi area, on Tuesday.
