A village head( Pradhan ) and his followers in a village in Uttar Pradesh open fired their opponents because over a land dispute. The head of Sonbhadra village, Yagya Dutt and his supporters allegedly open fired after a quarrel against a land contract. The fire caused 9 people to die and 19 others injured. The injured were immediately shifted to a hospital nearby.
Conditions of many injured still critical. The chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, was extremely disappointed because of the incident that took place. He instructed the DGP of the area to personally look into the matter and punish the culprits as soon as possible. Yogi Adityanath also asked the district magistrate to provide immediate help to the hospitals in order to cure the injured. The investigation has been under process and two of the nephews of the head of the village have been already arrested.
