Chief minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal placed the foundation stone of water treatment plant at Chandrawal . The plant have capacity 105 million gallons per day and completed in next three years. Delhi government will spends ₹600 crore on this project and hopeful of supplying will be on 24x7.Mr.Kejriwal said that every single household of Delhi will excess potatory water 24x7 till 2024. Chandrawal has two water treatment plants, one have 159 million gallon litre and 250 million gallon litre per day capacities.
CM urge to Central government to increase water share with other states. He said ,” In 1996 Delhi’s population was 1.25 crore while now it had reached 2.25 crore but water sharing is fixed. Delhi Devolpment Athourity is introduce a policy in which 16 lakh new flates will constructed due to which water demand will also increase. Mr. Gajender Singh Shekhawat,Union Jal Shakti minister , assured to Mr. Kejriwal that he will examine the proposal of Delhi government
