Himachal building collapse kills 14, including 13 army men

On Monday, a building collapsed in Solan. The reason for the accident is heavy rainfall. A total of 42 individuals were trapped within the collapsed building. Out of 42, 30 were men in uniform and rest 12 were civilians.
 

" One  civilian also lost his wife while 11 civilians were injured "
 

 

The group of 42 was trapped when due to heavy rainfall the multi-story building collapsed. The building was situated at the Nahan-Kumarhatti road which fell off at around 4 p.m.The building had a restaurant on its top floor, where the army men were dining.After the collapse, a rescue operation was jointly initiated by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), the police, and the district administration.The rescued have been taken to Maharishi Markandeshwar Medical College at Kumarhatti and to the Civil Hospital at Dharampur.

 

 

The site was also visited by the states' Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur. He told that three parties of NDRF were working with the rescue operation.
 

 

"The State Government provided a helicopter to airlift the NDRF men with the latest equipment from Suni" he said.With this, an inquiry on the incident has been sanctioned by the states' CM.
