Laxman Singh protests outside brother Digvijay Singh's bungalow, demands Chachaura be made a district

Laxman Singh, brother of former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh Digvijay Singh, sat outside latter's house in protest on Tuesday. Digvijay Singh's brother Laxman Singh is a Congress MLA. Protesting Laxman Singh wants Chachaura to be made as one of the districts of Madhya Pradesh. With this demand, Laxman Singh came to Bhopal with his supporters.

 

Laxman Singh has been demanding Chachaura to be made into a district for a long time now. On Tuesday, Laxman Singh reached his brother Digvijay Singh's bungalow in Shyamla Hills. Along with him came as many as 200 supporters. Prior to his protest outside his brother's bungalow, Laxman Singh also had met Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath. Kamal Nath, in fact, assured Laxman Singh that Chachaura will be made a district.

 

If Chachaura becomes a district, it will be the 53rd district of Madhya Pradesh. This is not the first time Laxman Singh has raised a voice against his own party. In the recent past, Laxman Singh also criticized Rahul Gandhi over loan waiver and even asked Rahul Gandhi to apologize to the farmers of Madhya Pradesh.
