SSC, HSC MarkSheets to be Collected at Schools, Colleges

MUMBAI; Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education will soon issue guidelines to its divisional offices and junior colleges in the state for HSC and SSC mark sheets' distribution amid the Covid-19 pandemic. With no option but to hand-deliver the mark sheets, students will have to visit their schools and colleges.

The board hands over hard copies of the mark sheets to the school and junior colleges, which then hand over it to the students. Now with the pandemic restricting movement, the board will issue guidelines that all stakeholders will be required to follow during the process.

"Since it is an important document in the life of every student, we have to give it to them in person. If it falls into the wrong hands, it could be also misused. SO, students will have to travel to their schools and colleges and schools to pick their mark sheets. We will ensure that all the precautions are taken," said Ashok Bhosale, secretary of the state board. In line with the state protocol, the board will issue detailed guidelines for social distancing and health precautions to be taken by the divisional board and schools and colleges.

The Mumbai division has planned to split the mark sheets distribution over two days."We are also increasing the number of centres and the number of centres and the number of windows in each centre where the school or college representing must come to pick up the mark-sheets. While it would be done in one day in the past, we will do it over two days now. Students can be called in small batches to pick up the mark sheets" said Sandeep Sangave, secretary of the Mumbai division.
