There are some of the Indian Politicians who are dead in the year 2020 which are as given below

 

Ajit Jogi Indian Politician, Ajit Jogi was dead at an age of 74 in Raipur on May 29, 2020. Due to a heart attack, Ajit Jogi was admitted to the hospital. He was the first chief minister of Chhattisgarh from the Congress Party. After that, he made their own political party that name is Janata Congress Chhattisgarh.

 

Lalji Tandon Madhya Pradesh Governor, Lalji Tondon was an Indian Politician and was dead at an age of 85 on July 21, 2020, at Medanta Hospital, Lucknow. He was a member of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and a protege of former Prime Minister Sri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Recently he was Governor of Madhya Pradesh at the time of death. He was born on April 12, 1935, and graduated from Kalicharan Degree College.

 

Amar Singh Rajya Sabha MP and Former Samajwadi Party Leader, Amar Singh was dead at an age of 64 in Singapore on August 1, 2020. Due to Kidney related diseases, He was admitted to a hospital in Singapore for treatment. He was born on January 27, 1956. Amar Singh was a businessman and politician. Great actor, Amitabh Bachchan was the closest friends of Amar Singh.

 

Chetan Chauhan – Great Cricket Player and Politician, Chetan Chauhan tested positive for coronavirus in July 2020. Due to multiple organ failure, he was placed on a ventilator. He was dead at an age of 73 in Gurugram on August 16, 2020. Chetan Chauhan was a great cricket player who played 40 test matches for India and two times selected to the Lok Sabha from Amroha in Uttar Pradesh. Chetan Chauhan was also the chairman of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) between June 2016 and June 2017. He was also a minister for youth and sports in Yogi Government Uttar Pradesh between 2018 and 2020.

 

Pranab Mukherjee Former President of India and Congress Leader, Pranab Mukherjee was dead on August 31, 2020. Previously he was accidentally slipping and falling in his bathroom and then admitted to a hospital.  Pranab was tested positive for Covid-19 on August 10, 2020, before surgery to remove a blood clot in his brain. Before death, he had been in septic shock that was caused by his lung infection. Pranab Mukherjee was also served as the 13th President of India between 2012 and 2017. He was also the Union Finance Minister in Manmohan Singh’s Government between 2009 and 2012. Pranab was also awarded the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honor in the year 2019.

 

Jaswant Singh – Major Jaswant Singh was dead at the age of 82 years on September 27, 2020, due to cardiac arrest.  In past, he was an officer of the Indian Army and an Indian cabinet minister. Jaswant Singh was also handling several portfolios including Defense, Finance, and External Affairs in Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s Government from 1998 to 2004.  He was also worked as a Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission from 1998 to 1999.

 

Suresh Angadi Minister of State for Railways, Suresh Angadi was dead at an age of 65 due to Covid-19 on September 23, 2020. He was born on June 1, 1955, and has won the election from Belgaum four times. Suresh Angadi was a Member of Parliament from Belgaum in the state of Karnataka. In 1996, he had started his career in politics. Angadi was also nominated as the district president of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) in Belgaum in the year 2001. After three years, BJP gave the ticket to Angadi for contesting the Lok Sabha election in Belgaum, Karnataka.

 

Ram Vilas Paswan Minister of Consumer Affairs, Public and Food Distribution, Ram Vilas Paswan was dead on October 8, 2020, and was cremated in Patna on October 10, 2020. Previously he had undergone heart surgery for some weeks before his death. Ram Vilas Paswan is one of the most popular Dalit leaders of the country and was also the founder of the Lok Janshakti Party. He was also a minister in Modi Government as a Minister of Consumer Affairs, Public and Food Distribution.

 

Ahmed Patel – Sonia Gandhi’s closest political advisers and senior Congress leader, Ahmed Patel was dead at an age of 71 due to coronavirus on November 25, 2020, at Medanta Hospital. When he had diagnosed with covid-19 then admitted to the Medanta Hospital, Gurgoan. He was born on August 21, 1949, and his father was a social worker. Ahmed Patel was the Member of Parliament from Rajya Sabha and the political secretary of Congress President Sonia Gandhi.

 

Tarun Gogoi – Previous Chief Minister of Assam, Tarun Gogoi was dead at an age of 84 due to multiple organ failures on November 23, 2020. Earlier he had tested positive for Covid-19 on August 25, 2020. The next day he was admitted to a Guwahati Medical College and Hospital. After two months, he had recovered from coronavirus and was discharged from the hospital. He was a Congress leader and served as the Chief Minister of Assam between 2001 and 2016. Tarun Gogoi led the Congress Party for a record three consecutive victories in Assam and as a Chief Minister, he is credited to end the militant rebellion and mitigating violence for improving the economic condition of the state.

 

Motilal Vora Veteran Congress leader, Motilal Vora was died at an age of 93 on December 21, 2020, due to post Covid -19 infections at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, Delhi. Previously he had recovered from Covid-19 in October. Again, he was admitted due to the problem of breathlessness on December 19, 2020. He was Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh between 1985 and 1988 and 1989. He was born on December 20, 1927, and was also Governor of Uttar Pradesh between 1993 and 1996.
