Salman Khan the megastar's last two Eid releases namely Tubelight and Race 3 have failed to impress from critics and audiences as well. Both films were trolled by audiences. While Tubelight drew criticism for its slow paced and boring screenplay, Race 3 was thrashed for it's over convoluted screenplay, logic-less scenes, and annoying songs.
Bharat, which is an official remake of the Korean Blockbuster ''An Ode To My Father'' has generated a low buzz among trade, due to the underperformance of Race 3 although the trailer was positively received and the songs generated a mixed to positive reception, advance booking for the film is mild. With the India V/S South Africa World Cup match scheduled on 5th June which is also the release date of the film, the opening day for the film will be low.
T-Series, the producers of the film have reportedly hiked ticket prices for the film. Bharat, unlike other Salman Khan Eid releases, will depend on strong word of mouth to ensure the film is successful. The film will also clash with Fox's last installment of the X-Men franchise, X-Men: Dark Pheonix which will release on 7th June. will culminate Fox's X-Men saga.
Stiff competition from X-Men Dark Pheonix and regional releases can deter Bharat as well, Now all eyes are set on the 5th of June that how does the film perform at the box office.
