I think this has the same meaning as faking. There are a lot of ways to do this. It doesn’t have an age factor or ranking. Anyone can pretend. It doesn’t matter how long you have known the person or how much you think you know them. Sad but true.

Pretending can be done for a short term to achieve something or it could be done for a long time leading to be a person’s character.

Pretending leads to lying. If you are pretending that means you are not being real, and if you are not real means you are not being truthful. Here is the thing though why do people pretend when they are with some people and they are being real with others?

If you are a person of character, I don’t think you will have different personalities with one person and be someone else when you with others.

If a people really cares about you they will accept you for who you are. It is too much work to pretend and it’s exhausting at the same time. It’s like acting all your life!

Also if you are among the people who pretend to be a certain way so that you can fit in or be acceptable by others. I just want to let you know that you are lying to yourself and others. You don’t have to pretend for anyone. The right people in your life won’t give you any doubts, you will just feel accepted.

If you are not being real with yourself you won’t be happy or have peace. If you care about yourself and others you have to stop pretending and be free to be you and let them be free to be them.

Everyone is strong and weak in certain areas, no one is perfect. All we can do is learn from each other and offer help when needed. Growth doesn’t have a timeline.
