Sacred Games Season 2 trailer out. Kalki Koechlin, Ranvir Shorey join the cast of Netflix’s ‘Sacred Games 2’

Sacred Games fans can't keep calm as finally Netflix has dropped the teaser of the second season. The 26-second teaser introduces two new characters. Actors Kalki Koechlin and Ranvir Shorey are the latest addition to the second season of critically-acclaimed Netflix original series Sacred Games. The revelation was made in the first look of season two, directed by Anurag Kashyap and Neeraj Ghaywan. It will be interesting to see these two amazing actors as a part of the thriller series.
“Season 2 is coming. Put your chattris in the air. #SacredGamesS2,” Netflix captioned the video that also stars Pankaj Tripathi, who showed up in a minor character in season 1 but is expected to play a major role in the new season.

Like season one, Kashyap is at the helm of the portions featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Ganesh Gaitonde, while Ghaywan will direct the scenes with Saif Ali Khan’s Sartaj Singh.
Kalki, who will be essaying the role of Batya in the season two, said she is excited to be a part of the series.
“Personally, I am a fan of the series, and it is super awesome to be a part of the Sacred Games and Netflix family. Season 2 promises to be much more exciting and I cannot wait for viewers to watch me in the series,” Kalki said in a statement.
Sacred Games is based on Vikram Chandra’s 2006 novel of the same name and follows the quest of a Mumbai police officer Sartaj Singh (played by Saif) as he tries to save the city from a possible nuclear attack, after being warned by gangster Ganesh Gaitonde (essayed by Nawazuddin).
Sacred Games season 1, which also starred actors Radhika Apte, Kubra Sait and Jitendra Joshi in pivotal roles, was loved by both the audience and the critics alike, thanks to its gritty screenplay and terrific performances headlined by an A-list cast.
Actor Saif Ali Khan will be back as police officer Sartaj Singh in the second season of Sacred Games while Nawazuddin will reprise his role as Ganesh Gaitonde. Sacred Games Season 2 will be back with a new trail of betrayal, crime, passion, and a thrilling chase through Mumbai's underbelly.
The most interesting part will be to see Gaitonde's mentor Guruji (Pankaj Tripathi) in the second season. Guru was introduced in season one as Gaitonde's third father, who will play a pivotal role in unfolding a chain of events that shape the next season.
