World No. 1 Novak Djokovik Tests Positive for Coronavirus

World No.1 Novak Djokovik tells on Tuesday that he had been tested positive for coronavirus. He is now the fourth Serb player to contract the virus after taking part in an exhibition tennis tournament in the Balkans. Djokovik is asymptomatic for the virus and joins Grigor Dimitrov, Borna Coric, and Viktor Troicki who were earlier tested positive for COVID-19. Djokovic said that his wife is also tested positive for the virus whereas their children have been tested negative.
"I am extremely sorry for each individual case of infection," the 33-year-old Serb said in a statement. He added, “I hope that it will not complicate anyone's health situation and that everyone will be fine.” "Unfortunately, due to all events in the past days, we decided that now the most important thing is that the epidemiological situation is stabilized and everyone recovers," tournament director Djordje Djokovic, the player's younger brother, said in a statement.
"Now we remain focused on the support of all those infected ... wishing that they recover as soon as possible."
The tournaments were attended by some 4000 fans and the tournament which was meant to be for entertainment has now been turned to tragic after such news.
