Goa to Reopen Domestic Tourists from 2nd JULY

Goa, one of the country's most popular tourist places, has been remained closed for travelers since the nationwide coronavirus lockdown was imposed in March.
During a state cabinet meeting, the Goa tourism minister Manohar Ajgaonkar took the big decision to restart the tourism activities for the financial growth of the state. The tourism department has granted permission to 250 hotels to reopen." We have decided to allow domestic travelers to enter Goa from July 2nd onwards provided they comply with certain norms, " the minister said.
For a tourist to enter Goa, he/she will have to carry a COVID-19 negative certificate within the demand of 48- hours window or get mandatorily tested in Goa.
It will be mandatory for tourists to pre-book their stay at hotels, which have received the tourist departments' approval, he said. " People who test positive will be given the option of returning to their respective states or staying back in goa for treatment," the minister said.
