It's a piece of news that might provide a slight relief to the students appearing NEET this year. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is postponed for the students of Odisha, due to the Fani cyclone.

The Cyclone Fani, which had its extreme impact on Odisha, has just passed on, leaving the capital city, Bhubaneshwar, Puri and Cuttack areas mainly drenched in damage. The cities are left with no electricity and roads are blocked. The people are having a tough time. In such a situation, it was difficult to conduct the NEET at Odisha. Hence, The Ministry of Human Resources and Development have postponed the NEET examination in Odisha, until an undeclared period of time.

This exam was scheduled to be conducted on May 5th,2019. Hardly did anyone know this untimely extreme natural event that has left Odisha severely damaged. Though Odisha and it =s inhabitants have inculcated this immunity towards the cyclones, Fani did cause a lot of damage which the government are trying to deal with as soon as possible.

Looking at the repercussion, the state government under relief and rehabilitation had requested to the Ministry of Human Resource and Development answering to which the education secretary R. Subrahmanyam tweeted -
