Football Prodigy Lionel Messi tops the Forbes Highest Paid Athletes List of 2019

This year Forbes list has been decided and soccer star “Lionel Messi” sits right at the throne as the World Highest paid Athlete earning $127 million.
The list released includes 100 athletes with players ranging across 10 varied sports and sportsperson originating from two dozen countries. Forbes reported from June 2018 to June 2019 a total of $4 billion accumulated in combined earnings from salaries, prize money and advertisements of athletes.
Football stars dominated this list with 1, 2, 3 slots occupied by them. Cristiano Ronaldo comes just behind Messi on 2nd No. with $ 109 million and Neymar with 105 million at No. 3.
Neymar 2nd No. rises from the 5th slot in the last years was hugely helped by his transfer to PSG making him the second highest-earning footballer just behind the Barcelona Lionel Messi.
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson the NFL most valuable player in 2019 is also the 2019 American’s highest-paid athlete. Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers just come behind his fellow companion at seven.
Basketball stars LeBron James, Steph Curry, and Kevin Durrant comes in 8, 9, 10 number to complete the list. LeBron is the 3rd highest paid American athlete with $89 million just behind Wilson and Rodgers.
From Boxing Canelo Alvarez makes the spot in number four and from tennis, Roger Federer makes it at 5th position. No other athlete from above sports makes the top 10 list.
