Chris Gayle to become highest sic hitter in World Cup

The West Indies opener Chris Galye who is known for his phenomenal batting in cricket has recently been crowned has the player to hit maximum numberof sixes in ICC World Cup. Before him, the South African player AB de Villiers was the highest six hitter.
While AB de Villiers has a total of 37 sixes in his pocket, Gayle, in his recxent match against Pakistan hit his 39th six. Australia's former captain Ricky Ponting stands to be the third player on the list hitting 31 sixes.
Apart from this fresh record, Gayle has others records as well. He is the first player to hit 300 sixes in Indian Premire League. He is the first batsman to score a double century in quadrennial tournament. The record of most number of sixes, which was earliere with Shahid Afridi is also surpassed by him.
