The Indian band Sanam to sing Cricket World Cup Anthem

The internet sensation Sanam band recently added a new feather in their cap. They have recorded the ICC World Cup 2019's title song along with few other world's renowned singer and bands. The anthem is a catchy track named "Way o, way o".
The anthem has been recorded in collaboration with Uber which is also the official sponsor of ICC World Cup 2019. Along with Sanam the anthem is also sung by Jamaica’s Jahmiel, UK’s Catherine Taylor Dawson, New Zealand’s Simba Diallo and South Africa’s choir group – Khayelitsha United Mambazo.
The anthem is written by Sonal Dabral and curated by composer Michael (Mikey) McCleary. The main theme of the song is to promote togetherness among the countries of the world. The song has been recorded separately by all the five singers and is then combined together. On the context of the track release Sanam Puri stated, “The anthem is a celebration of the sport. It’s very catchy. The main line is — ‘We’re on our way’, which is very inspiring.”
