Mumbai Indians played their second last league game against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Wankhede Stadium Mumbai. Mumbai won the toss and opted to bat first. MI on a slow wicket put a target of 163 for Hyderabad. Hyderabad coudn't win the game but the efforts of Manish Pandey took the game to super over where they eventually lost.

MI after winning the toss went off to a great start.Rohit Sharma scored 28 of 18 balls and got out to Khaleel Ahmed in the last over of powerplay.De Kock made a half century which initially looked a slow one (69 of 58 balls) but eventualy turned into a match winning knock. Hardik and Suryakumar played quick cameos of 23 and 18 respectively. The pick of the bowler in the first innings was Khaeel Ahmed who leaked some runs but took important wickets of Pollard,Rohitand Suryakumar Yadav. Nabi and Rashid bowled economical spells.
In the second innings the target didn't seemed much but for SRH without Warner and Bairstow it was going to be a little tough task as their was inexperience in the batting line up. Martin Guptil and Saha made quick 15 and 25 but got out quickly to
boom boom Bumrah..Nobody including the captain Williamson stayed in the crease for long except Manish Pandey who along with Nabi took the game to super over. Manish scored a fighting 71 off just 47 balls and he also last ball of Hardik Pandya to six and made the match draw to take it into super over.

In the super over Hyderabad batted first and could score only 8 runs and all thanks to Bumrah who bowled the laser guided yorkers and took the 2 wickets and SRH could not play the whole 6 balls also. And in reply Hardik Pandya along with Pollard came for Mumbai Indians and Hardik hit the first ball for six and then took a single and then Pollard ran a 2 and Mumbai Indians entered the playoffs in quite dramatic match.
The man of the match was Bumrah for his amazing bowling in both the super over and the 4 overs in which he gave 31 runs and took 2 crucial wickets of Saha and Guptil
