Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is India's central authority for recruiting civil servants. They conduct an exam called UPSC exam which is one of the most prestigious examinations in the country. its charm lies in the fact that it holds the door to the dream career. Besides being one of the most prestigious examination, it is one of the most toughest examinations. Unlike other examinations which tests the aspirant's knowledge and calibre in a particular field, this exam tests the knowledge of an aspirant in a varied field. It also assess his or her personality whether it's fit with the demands of a career like civil sevices.Every year around 4-5 lakhs candidates appear for the exam.It is a gateway to around 24 government services. 

 

The Civil Services Examinations comprises of two stages:

 

1.First is Preliminary                                                                                                                                    2. And the second is Main            

                                                                          

PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION: The Preliminary Examination consists of two compulsory paper- General Studies Paper 1 and General Studies Paper 2- of 200 marks each. Boh the papers are objective.

 

MAIN EXAMINATION: The main examination consists of two parts: a written examination and an interview for personality test.
