How to Make Pancakes?
Pancakes are flat cakes cooked on a frying pan or tawa. The batter consists of flour, milk, egg, baking powder, butter, sugar, and salt. It is good and easy to make a dessert which can be either served as breakfast or snacks. It is loved by most of the kids. It goes well with whip toppings and raspberry jam. Pancakes can be served either hot or cold. Hot plated pancakes are mostly preferred.
Things required:
Flour - |
2 cups |
Milk - |
1 cup |
Egg - |
1 no. |
Baking powder - |
1 teaspoon |
Melted Butter - |
20 g |
Sugar - |
3 tablespoon |
Salt - |
A pinch |
Procedure:
- Take a big bowl to mix the ingredients.
- Add the flour, sugar, salt and baking powder to the bowl.
- Mix the dry ingredients well.
- Beat the egg and mix it with the milk.
- Add it to the mixture and stir twice.
- Now add the melted butter to the mixture.
- Stir the mixture as less as at the same time mix it well. (note: by reducing the stirring you can get good textured pancake)
- Heat the pan or tawa on low flame.
- After the pan gets heated, add little butter and pour one ladle on the pan.
- Until the corners get and bubbles come-out let be the pan.
- After this turn around the cake and cook it.
- After 1 or 2 minutes take the cake out of the pan.
- Place it on a plate and serve it.
Suggested Toppings:
- Whipped Cream
- Maple syrup
- Honey
- Chocolate syrup
- Jam ( especially raspberry jam )
Tips:
- Stack a number of pancakes to make look like cake.
- Try to plate the pancake by letting the smooth side to face up. It is more presentable, appetizing and soothing.
- Make sure to have some toppings.
