Virat's and Rohit Sharma's posts after India's loss is heart touching!

After a very close on-field match, India was defeated by 18 runs by the New Zealand team and left the hopes of millions of Indians shattered. The Indian team was not at all expected to be at this fate, especially looking at their performance throughout the tournament. India before the semi-final match was topping the scoreboard.

 

However after the defeat, there were many speculations regarding this being the last World Cup of former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, and there was huge resentment among the audience regarding this. However, post the defeat both the captain and vice-captain posted heavy heartedly about their loss, and were seeming in huge despair after their bad performance in the semi-finale.

 

Virat Kohli, had that evening posted, “Firstly I want to thank all our fans who came in huge numbers to support the team. You made it a memorable tournament for all of us and we felt the love showered upon the team for which we are very grateful. We are all disappointed and share the same emotions as you. We gave everything we had. Have to accept this and move forward. Jai Hind”

 

After a few days, Vice-captain Rohit Sharma tweeted about their loss. He definitely seemed very much disappointed with the team’s performance and tweeted ” We failed to deliver as a team when it mattered, 30 minutes of poor cricket yesterday & that snatched away from our chance for the cup. My heart is heavy as I’m sure yours is too. The support away from home was incredible. Thank you all for painting most of UK blue wherever we played,” tweeted the opener, referring to the top-order failure which left the scorecard reading 5/3 in the first four overs itself.”We as fans are also in great despair regarding this unseen fate. Let’s hope for the next time.
