Virat Kohli will be leading the Indian cricket team for this World Cup as the captain of the team. Before leaving for England, Virat talked to the media about his strategies and gameplans for the coming big game. He mentioned how he wants his team to be as normal as possible, and not to panic as it may affect and degrade the game of players.

In the year 2011, when India brought the trophy home, he was in the playing 11 and also performed his share of play. India qualified for semifinals of 2015 World Cup because of the current captain. He played a major role in taking the team that across, but says how this World Cup will be his most challenging one as compared to the last two.
"This will probably the most challenging World Cup out of all the World Cups I have been part of looking at the format. The focus will be to play the best cricket we can play. If we do that, we will be on the right side of the result every time,"
After reaching England, the host of this World Cup, India will be facing South Africa on June 5th. Next it'll be taking Australia on June 9th, then New Zealand June 13th, then Pakistan on June 16, followed by matches with Afghanistan, West Indies, England, Bangladesh and finally Sri Lanka.
The Indian team is definitely being considered as one of the biggest competitor for the trophy along with host itself England, New Zealand, West Indies and Australia. India versus Pakistan have always been the most talked about,the hyped about match since ever, and it definitely continues this time also.
All 15 players listed for the series have been in great form. They all performed fairly well in 2019 IPL. Players like Hardik Pandya, KL Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami have played well and even great this season.
2018 has been a great year for Indian cricket. India was is ranked as No.1 in the world, by winning ODIs. Now Indian team and the fanbase is wishing for that to remain the same.
