Stan returned to IPL two years later and got two two wickets against Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings. Stan will not want to take any risk considering the World Cup starting on May 30 in England.
Royal Challengers Bangalore's fast bowler Dale Steyn is out of the tournament due to a shoulder injury in the 12th season of the IPL. Stan was replaced by Bengaluru in place of injured Nathan Coulter-Nile. Stan played only two matches for Bengaluru in which he took four wickets.
Bengaluru Chairman Sanjeev Churiwala said in a statement, "Stan has a knee injury. They need rest. Keeping in view their health, they will not be able to play in the remaining matches of the IPL season. "
