Bali: Mount Agung erupted on the evening of 24th May in Bali, Indonesia. The national disaster agency said that the eruption lasted for about 4 minutes and 30 seconds.
Mount Agung has last experienced an eruption in 1963. It again became active in 2017.
The eruption made lava spread in a radius of 3 kilometers which made nearby villages experience major ash fall. Almost the whole of south Indonesia experienced ash fall. Four flights flying towards Bali were diverted and five flights were cancelled because of the eruption.
