Australia backed with its two top order batsmen
Steve Smith and David Warner made it sure that their return was evident. In the warm up match between Australia and West Indies, the performances were remarkable. Australia won the match by 7 wickets. The two Aussie players were imposed with international ban because of the ball tampering scandal in South Africa. The ban was for an entire year.
Steve Smith smoothly guided his team to a score of 230, with himself adding a total 76 in it. He proved he is in the perfect form to enter the World Cup championship even after a year's hoult.
Australia won the match by 7 wickets, but the team have some concerning points, one being the injury of Usman Khawaja. Khawaja got injured by a bouncer delivery of Andre Russel. He was replaced by Warner and was sent to the hospital for precautionary X-Ray. Before getting injured Usman played for two overs. He was hit on his jaw.
Both the players are Australia's top order batsmans. They might be getting backlash from the suspectors as the team will be staying and playing World Cup in England, followed by the coming series Ashes, between Australia and England. The unofficial warm up match was hastily decided on Wednesday, because of which the count of suspectators was low, and the match was played and finished in peace.
Both the players played in 3 warm-up match, and will also be playing in the first match of World Cup against Afghanistan in Bristol on June 1.
