For all those who have been waiting to get their hands on the new Kia Seltos, there is a piece of good news. While Kia Motors has not officially started the bookings of the compact SUV, the unofficial bookings of the vehicles have commenced. Kia Seltos will mark the entry of the South Korean carmaker in India. The company has said that it will have 265 authorised touchpoints across 160 cities in India. Kia Seltos will be available with three BSVI (BS6) compliant engine options -- 1.4-litre Turbo GDI petrol, 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel. Among the transmission options will be 7-speed DCT, CVT, 6-speed torque converter and 6-speed manual. The upcoming compact SUV will be launched in India in August 2019.
A report by Autocar India has now claimed that several upcoming dealerships in Delhi are unofficially taking Seltos bookings for an amount of Rs 25,000. Expected to be priced in the range of Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom), Kia Seltos will rival against Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks, Renault Captur, Tata Harrier and MG Hector.
