Dinyar Contractor an actor and a veteran comedian who was just 79 years old died on Wednesday morning .He has been a part of many popular shows like Khichdi and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah which used to come on Sony sab channel. He used to bring smile on million of faces and was known for spreading happiness.This great actor started doing acting from his school days, since from 1966.
He started his career by working in the programs used to be played on DD-2 channel which was launched by Mumbai Doordarshan, and in recent days he was even seen in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah playing the role of Sodhi's father- in law. He also worked in films like 'Chori Chori Chupke Chupke', 'Khiladi', 'Baadshah', 'Daraar', 'Dil Vil Pyar Vyar' and '36 China Town' and gained popularity. Dinyar Contractor was conferred with Padma Shri in 2019 and was honoured the award by Ramnath Kovind,a President of India. According to the report he was suffering from various age related problems and was ill all the time. His last rites are going to be performed in Worli at 3:30 pm. May the great soul Rest in peace(RIP).
