IPL 2019 | DC vs SRH Eliminator Preview: With both teams missing key players
SRH are missing key Australian batsman David Warner whereas Delhi Capitals are without key South African paceman Kagiso Rabada. Both the teams are locked 1-1 this season, winning their away games against each other.
The Eliminator between SRH and Delhi Capital will be played at Visakhapatnam on Wednesday, May 8, 2019. Delhi Capitals won nine matches out of 14 matches to claim 18 points whereas SRH won six matches out of 14 matches and accumulated just 12 points. Delhi Capitals ranked third in the points table despite having equal points as Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) due to a poor net run-rate. SRH, on the other hand, managed to acquire fourth with a better net run-rate than Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), who also lay claim to 12 points.
"We have to take the confidence from our win against them in Hyderabad. They also beat us in Delhi, so both the teams are fairly confident, and it is going to be a tough match. However, they are also missing some of their players, and we are without Kagiso now, so it is going to be a difficult task as well, but a well-matched encounter," said Iyer
"They have a very good past in such situations but we are also looking forward to creating history," Iyer said with confidence.
