Awaken Your Free Spirit

Do you remember when you were a little kid? How you used not to be scared of anything or anyone? How you were never scared to interrupt or enter a room full of people? How you could fantasize and dream big things?  Most people have lost their free spirit. As they grow up they get lost in the world that is full of destructions. They let the society, media and people around them control their lives. They bow down to fear, doubt and indecision. They lose their confidence and self-esteem hence failing to work on their dreams.

You should stop worrying and know that you cant please everyone. You should awaken your free spirit because that is who you are. You were born to be free, to live life on your own terms. You were given different talents and abilities not just to keep them, but to explore them and create possibilities for yourself. Do not abandon your true self. Your life is a gift and you need to share it with the world. You have to know that you are unique, you are the one and only. There is no one like you. No one can do it like you. You are an original, act like one.

You have to claim what is yours in the universe because it’s your birth right. You cannot give other people the power to control and decide your destiny, they don’t know you like you know yourself. They don’t know your dreams, vision and your abilities. They don’t have a clue of how powerful you are. To them it’s an illusion or imagination but to you it’s your life and it’s your job to make it a reality. If they don’t understand you its okay, they don’t need to. Stop wasting time in explaining yourself to them, concentrate on achieving your goals and dreams. Your results will explain themselves. You have to hold on to what you believe in. Become a free spirited person, choose your own destiny. As Dani Johnson states in her book called “First Steps to Wealth”, she wrote,

“You were designed to take risks and to be adventurous. To succeed in life you have to take those risks and truly be adventurous. You must ignite what is in your DNA- and that is your adventurous risk taking spirit. The Great Designer planted the desire inside you to succeed. Its up to you to tap into it.”

The Great Designer most of us know him as God and in some books they call him, Infinite Intelligence. You were made in the image and likeness of God. We both know according to our beliefs how powerful God is. Now suck in the word “likeness”, which means like him we are given power and we are capable. He made us to become designers like him, why are we then living our lives by default? May be you forgot how powerful you are. May be you forgot that designing is in your blood and you are naturally good at it. You need to remind yourself of this power. It is still inside you, but since you haven’t used it for a long time, you need to awaken it.

Yes, it is possible for it to come to life. Now I need to caution you that, you are going to be different, you are going to change, other people will notice that, they will not understand you. Most likely they will criticize you and say that you are either lost.

At the beginning this will be hard and it’s such a lonely feeling. But you know what? Something magical will happen inside of you, it will feel like a breath of fresh air, it’s like getting out of the prison.  That freedom, courage, confidence and self-esteem will be priceless.

There are some questions you can ask yourself and see if you are hiding behind your true self.  So here they are;

Are you truly happy? Do you have real freedom inside of you? Are you compromising with your talents and abilities? Are you scared of other people? Are you worried that you have to keep up with the relations you have and so you act in a certain way afraid of losing your fake life and reputation? Do you care about other people’s opinions? Are you competing and comparing yourself with others?

One of the good example of an answer to those is when Michael Jordan, who was the best basketball player when he was asked by one of the best motivational speaker, Tonny Robbins.

So Tonny really wanted to know what made Michael so special and pumped up; what was his competition? What made him work so hard? And Michael answered “Every day I demand more from myself than anybody else could humanly expect, I am not competing with somebody else, I am competing with what I am capable of”

That is a spirit that we should all have while going after our dreams. At the end it will all be worth it. Commit yourself to your dreams and goals. Your life will have a special meaning and purpose. You will wake up each day excited about life and like a child you will dream again and open the door for your free spirit to take control.
