Instagram data breach,leaked information of several influences

Instagram has reportedly leaked the contact information of 49 million (and growing) users. A large database of millions of Instagram users – mostly celebrities, influencers, and brands – has been found exposed on an AWS server. This contains public information (including user bio, profile picture, location, number of followers) as well as private data (mobile numbers, email ids, amounts transacted) of users, who are clients of Mumbai-based influencer marketing agency Chtrbox.
A massive database hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) for Mumbai-based internet company Chtrbox that contained contact info for millions of Instagram accounts for influencers, celebrities and brands has been discovered leaked online. The database, hosted by Amazon Web Services, was left exposed and without a password allowing anyone to look inside,” writes Zack Whittaker at TechCrunch. At the time of his report, the database had over 49 million records, and was “growing by the hour. TechCrunch found several high-profile influencers in the exposed database, including prominent food bloggers, celebrities and other social media influencers. "Facebook has had little to say on the matter, telling TechCrunch: “We’re looking into the issue to understand if the data described – including email and phone numbers – was from Instagram or from other sources.”
