Delhi Border Sealed: No Permission Through Noida and Gurugram Without Special Passes
As we can see for the past some days that the number of Covid-19 cases in the National Capital of India is on the rise steadily, on behalf of that Delhi government had to decide to seal its border with neighboring states, today. According to Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister, Delhi-Noida border and Delhi-Gurugram borders will be shut for another week. He addresses further that Only essential service providers with valid passes along with them will be allowed to enter inside the region.
Kejriwal said, “The moment we will open the way to Delhi, people from across the country will try to come to Delhi for the treatment.” He has asked its citizens if the border should open or not. And for that, Delhiites have time till Friday to WhatsApp or Email their suggestions to the Ministry. "We will make a decision with all due respects of security and safeguarding, again in one week to open borders after consulting about the suggestions received from citizens," said Delhi chief minister.
From today onwards, India has started preparing for a constant exit from the nationwide lockdown, and in order to that Delhi government has already issued the new guidelines for lockdown 5.0 or one can say Unlock 1.0. In accordance with the guidelines proposed by the Centre, the Delhi government has allowed all shops to remain open. Barbershops and the Salons will remain functional in lockdown 5.0.
Autos and the E-rickshaws are now allowed to carry more than one passenger with them, at least for now. In bike and scooters, two people are permitted now to travel. There will not be restrictions on the number of passengers in the autos and e-rickshaws. Kejriwal has clearly assured that Delhi has an adequate number of facilities to treat corona patients. In the meeting, "If you have coronavirus patients at your home, we will treat you," said Kejriwal.
In the present context, there are around 9,500 beds available in several hospitals of Delhi to treat coronavirus cases. Delhi government has mentioned launching its mobile android and IOS application on Tuesday to help people find beds available for COVID-19 treatment in nearby and easily accessible hospitals. Considering the regular and high number of cases increasing in the National Capital, Uttar Pradesh Government had earlier sealed the Delhi-Noida border to stop the COVID-19 virus from spreading before it gets out of control even inside Uttar Pradesh. Last week, The Haryana Government has closed its Delhi-Haryana border. However, the Haryana government also announced that no special traveling pass will be required to cross the Delhi-Haryana border from today onwards, but it depends upon the situation as well. Only essential service providers have been asked to cross the border.
In the meanwhile, The National Capital has witnessed its biggest hike in COVID-19 count as over 1,200 people tested positive on Sunday. So, talking about the numbers of Covid-19 patients in Delhi, it stood at 19,844.
