Bridal Fashion Trends 2019

Bridal Fashion in 2019

Every woman dreams of her big day, to be married to the love of her life, the day needs to be perfect and fulfil her expectations, a marriage is so much more than just two people getting married, it’s the beginning of a new generation, a coming together of two families, an everlasting bond of love, promises to be with one another in sickness and in health . It is so holy, pious and pure it deserves to be celebrated like a festival, and what’s a festival without traditional outfits? Here is the new wave of Bridal Fashion.

If you didn’t watch “ Veere Di Wedding “ you are surely missing out on some new shaadi outfit inspirations , Kareena Kapoor Khan looks stunning in an off-shoulder, embellished, yellow lehenga by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. What we found hard to believe was that this wedding ensemble and many others were in fact 25 yearls old and just revamped a little for a more modernised look. In the scene of the wedding we see the leading ladies wear pastel hues and Kareena is accessorized with a stunning floral arrangement. The make up was illuminating but minimal. And the choker highlighted Kareena’s perfect collar and cheek bones.

Another name that paves the way for bridal fashion is Sabyasachi, The Sabyasachi Summer Spring collection 2019 is titled Fiza. When the designer was asked about the fabric he replied , “As a bridal designer, I keep thinking, ‘What’s next?’, and I keep coming back to khadi. For me, it is the equivalent of wellness, and nothing can be more luxurious than that. When I look back at the last 20 years, my khadi bridal lehengas are what I am most proud of. Combined with Indian jewellery and flowers, they create a very potent and timeless image. Some of my most discerning customers globally have chosen to wear khadi lehengas for their wedding. Almost all of them are not on Instagram. Pity!”

My favourite is the colourful Sabyasachi Roohbab Lehenga. In the designers words,” Revival of craft has been an integral part of our 20-year journey. At Sabyasachi, we believe in working with the very best crafts and textiles. Master craftsmen, weavers, printers and dyers from the remotest parts of India collaborate and partner with us to give you modern heirlooms. Many of them are multiple National Award winners. Some of them have been practising their craft for over three generations.

An intricate Kashmiri lehenga is painstakingly embellished with zardosi and tilla borders and worn with jewellery from the Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery collection.”

According to the Sabyasachi designs I think whats safe to say is that deep V neck lines for blouses are in , Gold on Gold colour blocking with ample of highlighter as make up and a Royal Choker , Layering jewellery cannot go wrong this season , A sleek simple middle parted hairstyle will go a long way.

Dupattas made up of hand crushed material , crepe , with intricate embroidery and thick borders are the talk of the town. Go wild with the bright colours lastly to pull of anything don’t forget to add a dash of your own personal style!
